Our Wedding

It all started July 4th weekend in 2021, at the ever-glamorous Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Amid the noise of slot machines and glare of the sun off his frosted tips, Dan walked up to Haley with a bold opener: “Want to hear how I got banned from the country of Switzerland?” (Spoiler: she did.) From that moment on, things moved pretty quickly. Within a month, Dan asked Haley to be his girlfriend and his date to his sister Kim's wedding. (Miraculously, she said yes to both.) After a whirlwind summer straight out of Grease, the next chapter for these two was long distance: Haley in Philadelphia finishing up her last year of law school, and Dan in Arlington, VA. Between Amtrak rides, marathon phone calls, and weekend trips, their bond only grew stronger. Eventually, Dan (and their beloved rescue, Colt) made the big move north of the Mason-Dixon to be with Haley. Two years later, Dan popped the question on a picturesque October evening just a block from their apartment. Although Haley was ugly crying too hard to get the words out at first, Dan eventually got the answer he was looking for. While they won't be celebrating at the Golden Nugget, Haley and Dan can't wait to cement their love at the place where it all began: the Jersey Shore.

If you're taking the train from New York Penn Station, you will want to take the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line. Bay Head is the last stop, but it also stops in Spring Lake &amp; Manasquan. There is an NJ Transit app you can download to see train schedules and times and also buy your tickets! This ride takes approximately two hours.

If flying into Philly International, you can expect approximately an hour and thirty-five minute drive to Bay Head, depending on traffic.

We have reserved a smaller block of rooms for your convenience. When making your reservation online, please type in the above code in order to access our unique discounted block. Alternatively, you can also call the hotel directly to book your rooms and PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REFERENCE "Matthes-Federico Wedding" for our block, otherwise you will not be put into it. The Hotel has a two-night minimum, but should you want to stay longer than Friday through Sunday, the hotel is more than willing to accommodate, simply inquire when you call! The Spring Lake Inn, originally built in 1888, is a beautifully restored Victorian landmark just steps from the beach and boardwalk. Located about 12 minutes from Bay Head Yacht Club, the Inn offers a large porch, European continental breakfast, onsite parking, and easy access to all that Spring Lake has to offer. We encourage guests to book early, as the Inn will fill quickly. Please Note: The Spring Lake Inn is a historic building, and the property does not feature ramps, elevators, or ADA-compliant rooms. Please Note: the towns of Bay Head and Mantoloking have ordinances that require rentals for seven days or longer.
